This Minor Release will be a step into the right direction, but it still as regressions I mentioned in the Plan Review for MP 6.0 (https://github.com/microprofile/microprofile-wg/pull/177#issuecomment-1261459301).

While renaming of specs should be done in Major Releases only, the fact that we have component specs based on Jakarta EE 9.1 and on Jakarta Core Profile 10.0 makes maintenance and releasing much more complex than necessary.
In the case of maintenance, fixing issues is not pure theory - because of current CVEs we need to maintain 2 versions of the MP Parent in parallel now...
Having component specs released on a deviating environment from the umbrella spec creates a risk for releasing the last.

Hope we can prevent this in the future, but recent decisions (Proposal 1 for MP 7.0) do not convince me this will be solved soon...

The MicroProfile Specification Process requires the Specification Committee and the Community to provide feedback during the approval process using the relevant documents:

This ballot runs for seven days, so it ends on July 5th, 2023. The ballot requires a Super-majority positive vote of the Steering Committee members.  There is no veto. Community input and Community votes are welcomed. However, only the votes delivered by Steering Committee Representatives will be counted.
