I would like to sum some efforts in maintain the life (evolution and
maintenance) of this component, so I want to offer me as a committer.
The major inconveniences which I could gather around being a MDT-OCL
committer.
- I don't have any experience as a committer in an Eclipse project.
- Currently, my daily time to invest as a comitter is limited.
- My knowledge around MDT-OCL project doesn't cover all the project
corners.
The list of reasons to be considered to be a MDT-OCL committer are the
following:
- I have been working on MDT-OCL project infrastructure for two years.
- I have been contributing to the project raising
enhancements/bugs/discussions and providing patches for some of them.
- I have a profound knowledge about LPG, parser and analyser .
- I'm an active member in the OMG OCL-RTF.
- I have a partner here in Open Canarias, who is a committer in other
Eclipse project, so I could receive some support from him.
On the other hand, honestly, I don't think that I'm the suitable person
to be a project leader, mainly, due to the the list of inconveniences
which I have related. So I believe that another person with more
experience and available time would rather be the project leader. I
guess that there should be interested parties to assume this role.
BTW, Although I'm not an Eclipse committer, Eclipse Foundation might
hold a Committer Employer Consent Form, fulfilled by my company due to
a previous contribution (the ecore-based QVTo metamodels).
Finally, I would like to thank Christian Damus again for this labour on
this project and to publicly encourage him not to - at least completely
-
leave this project.
Regards,
Adolfo.
