you can have a look at openATFX (https://sourceforge.net/projects/openatfx/). That is the library that is used by openMDM 5 to read and write ATFX files.

Dear MDM|BL Development Team,
I'm a developer at Dewesoft who was tasked with writing an ATFX file export. As I discovered your solution I also found out that you are also offering exporting ATFX files from the ODS system. We have bought the ASAM ODS standard which also includes specifications of ATFX file. Since it is very long and also little complicated I was wondering if there exists any library for writing ATFX files in your solution or outside of it as an addon?
If this is wrong mailing list I would be very happy if you could redirect me to the right mailing list with my questions.
