The challenge with healthcare M2M applications, as Mats can attest to, is that they typically represent much more than "data" integration. Key features like file/log transfers, software/firmware updates, and secure streaming (video, screen sharing, remote control) are often far more important to the remote service applications than typical remote monitoring applications. There are also often some very demanding security and data isolation requirements (which vary by geography). I think it's a worthwhile use case to consider for future use, but not one that the current technology stack within the Eclipse M2M projects are well suited for at present. Perhaps there are some "consumer oriented" healthcare applications that might be more of a fit (e.g. the "instrumented self" type of apps).

No problems Mats. Indeed I understand!
We we talking over a question I brought up to be sure if we pick one domain scenario like healthcare to drive the project work, that it can be factored into cross-industry pieces vs what would be unique to healthcare. I am confident that is possible, but wanted to see what everyone else thought. I'll catch-up with you when I get the minutes together, or we can discuss on next call.
