Just because a bug manifests itself in the combination of A and B but not in
A without B does not conclusively prove that A is bugfree.  B might just
trigger the bug.

Regarding metadata it was my conclusion when I started working with egit a
few years back that sharing metadata with other developers with different
installation was not working well for us.  I am happy to learn that this is
not an issue now.

I still think that recreating a small example showing the behavior will
clarify what is going on.

Don't report this as an m2e bug unless the problem can be reproduced without
Oracle Enterprise.

This is not true. m2e is expected to work with eclipse metadata files shared
via version control system. m2e considers these files as derived from
pom.xml and will overwrite them as necessary.
