Officially we support N-1 eclipse version, which means m2e 1.4 released
with Eclipse 4.3 will also work with eclipse 4.2/3.8.

Most likely the code will work with earlier Eclipse versions, for
example, I believe somebody tested m2e 1.3 with Eclipse 3.6, but you
will have to test compatibility yourself and likely deal with
installation of dependencies.
