[m2e-users] Created simple project and m2e fails to load maven-jar-plugi

Twice now last evening and this morning I've tried to create a trivial Maven project, and after it creates it, I get the following:

Could not calculate build plan: Plugin org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-jar-plugin:2.3.2 or one of its dependencies could not be resolved: Failed to read artifact descriptor for org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-jar-plugin:jar:2.3.2
Plugin org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-jar-plugin:2.3.2 or one of its dependencies could not be resolved: Failed to read artifact descriptor for org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-jar-plugin:jar:2.3.2

The pom is about as trivial as you can get:
