Makes sense, although it is a little different from how m-archetype-p.
But it's better this way I think.
The issue I saw though seems to be due to incomplete downloadable
index at central, so some archetype versions are missing. It's not a
problem with m2e (verified same result in Nexus). Sorry for the false
alarm.
Filed as MVNCENTRAL-231 [1] at Sonatype JIRA.
