Didn't have the time to test it yet (i'm on vacations :-)) but it should work w/ m2e 1.0.0. You can build it from master, see if anything's wrong. I suppose you can test the discovery mechanism with the current dev build.
We currently don't have archived update sites for the moment, the jboss repo will host only the last dev build.
I will contact you on monday to discuss the management of m2eclipse wtp builds (hosting, releases ...)
