Personally, I think that EDL is much more suitable than EPL if we want more developers to reuse Lyo code.

I don't know. It would appear all the eclipse/Lyo code is EPL and EDL, including the samples. Maybe someone on the dev list knows this history. I looked at the open source proposal that was approved inside IBM, and it only mentions EPL. Maybe it a comment block cloning issue, or something to widen the use of Lyo?

Do you have an idea why the core libs (NOT the sample code) of Lyo are under EDL license? It was supposed to be only for the “example content”: https://www.eclipse.org/org/documents/Licensing_Example_Code.pdf
