Hello LocationTech PMC,
As project lead for LocationTech GeoWave, I'm requesting the PMC's approval of our 2026.10 progress review:
https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/locationtech.geowave/reviews/locationtech-geowave-2026.10-progress-reviewIt is tracked in
https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipsefdn/emo-team/emo/-/issues/1386.
We'd love to ensure our CI pipelines are fully in tact but require an Eclipse admin to assist. This is tracked at
https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipsefdn/emo-team/emo/-/work_items/1404.
Since the termination review was proposed, the project has:
- merged 72 pull requests since September 1, moving GeoWave to Java 21 and to current versions of its stack (GeoTools 35, GeoServer 3.0, Hadoop 3.4, Spark 4, HBase 2.6, Accumulo 2.1, AWS SDK v2) for an upcoming 3.0.0 release;
- adopted the Eclipse Dash License Tool, with a check on every pull request and IPLab filing on every push to master. Restricted third-party content went from 184 entries to 18, all with open IPLab requests;
- added SECURITY and CODE_OF_CONDUCT files, updated NOTICE and CONTRIBUTING (ECA), and restored CI, which had stopped running.
The project remains within its scope; the 3.0 release drops the Kudu and Bigtable data stores because they are no longer relevant to the community.
Feedback is welcome, and a +1 indicates approval.
Thanks,
Rich Fecher
