Now please have a look at [1].

Looking at the changes in file "GwtDeviceServiceImpl.java" are a good example why you should not align calls, fields, etc ...

A simple change in one line may trigger a change of about 20 lines, just because of that formatting setting. And that is what we want to avoid in the first place.

I strongly recommend to re-think that approach.
