Hi Kanchana,
Kura Wires will not be ready for the next release. It will be included in a future release. When Kura Wires is ready, we will provide documentation/examples on how to use it.
Thanks,
--Dave
Hi Matteo,
This is awesome! Thanks a lot for sharing the new Web GUI screenshots.. our team will give it a try.
btw, is there a sample application that is released with the Kura distribution that can be used by new adopters like Intel to get a feel for newly
released features such as “Kura Wires” ?
Hi Kanchana,
attached few screenshots of the new Web Ui available in the develop branch.
This new UI will integrate more up-to-date technologies, like GWT 2.7 and gwtbootstrap3 and will be able to adapt its content to the user’s screen
size.
Here [1] and [2] few references.
If you want to test it in your device, simply clone the develop branch, than in the target-platform folder execute:
mvn -Dmaven.test.skip=true -f manifest_pom.xml -Pcan clean install
mvn -Dmaven.test.skip=true -f pom_pom.xml -Pweb clean install

Thanks Dave and Benjamin for your responses/clarifications. Indeed, some screenshots or a screencast would be very helpful for us to visualize the
new GUI.
We’ll also look forward to learning more about Kura Wires.
As per Kanchana’s suggestion, could someone from the team share a few screenshots? Or, even better, record a quick screencast?
There are two main reasons for updating the UI. The first was to change the underlying UI library. The reasons for this change are:
* Bring the web UI into accordance with the EPL license
* Allow us to upgrade GWT to the latest version
* The new library is based on Bootstrap, so the UI can be more mobile friendly
The majority of the functionality will be exactly the same as before, it will just look a bit different.
The second reason for the new UI is to introduce a new feature called Kura Wires. This feature is still a work in progress. When the feature is complete, we will
post documentation on how to use it.
This is very good to know! Is it possible to share some minimal documentation, or a spec if one is available, for the new Web GUI, along with some
screen shots that show the new features ? We are taking a look at Kura for device manageability and IDE and any visibility into recent improvements on these fronts, will be very helpful to our efforts. We are also staffing up a Kura PoC project.
as some of you may know, we are developing a new web ui for the next release of Kura. This is currently available in the develop branch of kura repository,
if you have any chance to take a look, we would be glad to hear what you think of the new look and feel.
