Hi there,
I just changed the design of our website to the
upcoming Nova Eclipse design (see email below). In my opinion it looks quite
strange (decide yourself: see the two screenshots attached).
The compact design (having all topics on a single
monitor) is replaced by a long list which makes it quite difficult to find the
topics one is searching for. Additionally, the images need much more space
(incubation egg, screenshot) and probably therefore there is not enough place
for the text anymore.
Therefore, I replaced it again with the old design and
I guess we'll wait until other projects switched to Nova in order to see how
they adapt their website or whether Nova itself is changed
again.

committers, We’ve been working on putting a new
face to eclipse.org for a while now. On October 1st we launched the
page you see at www.eclipse.org now. And starting tomorrow, we’re going to
release a new homepage and new skin for the website
called… Nova - http://www.eclipse.org/Nova ============================= Thanks to the feedback you guys
provided in Bug 252006, I
think we’ve come up with something you’ll like. Nova is designed to be
lighter, cleaner, and get you to the right sections of our website.

in _projectCommon.php should be
all you need to do for most pages. Check out the Modeling Pages under
the new skin. http://phoenix.eclipse.org/modeling/ If you’re a committer who takes care
of your projects website and want more detail have a look at http://wiki.eclipse.org/Nova to get you
started, while we eventually plan to change the default skin for all of
eclipse.org to Nova, you guys need time to get that done.
Migrating your pages over shouldn’t
