[jnosql-dev] Eclipse JNoSQL 1.1.18 Released — Time Series Support Is Here

Hi everyone,

We are happy to announce the release of Eclipse JNoSQL 1.1.18.

The main highlight of this release is the introduction of Time Series support across the Eclipse JNoSQL ecosystem.

Eclipse JNoSQL now provides a dedicated Time Series mapping model, including TimeSeriesTemplate, Jakarta Data repository integration, CDI support, and configuration support.

The first Time Series database integrations include:

  • InfluxDB 3

  • Apache IoTDB

  • QuestDB

This allows developers to work with time-oriented data through a consistent Java programming model while still choosing the database that best fits each use case.

If you want to see how the new TimeSeriesTemplate works, including mapping and query examples, take a look here:

Documentation improvements

Alongside the release, we have reorganized the supported databases documentation.

The integrations are now grouped by database category, making it easier to discover what Eclipse JNoSQL supports:

  • Key-Value

  • Column

  • Document

  • Graph

  • Time Series

You can explore the updated documentation here:

Other improvements

Version 1.1.18 also includes several fixes and improvements, including:

  • stronger query parameter handling

  • Gremlin query safety improvements

  • QuestDB offset pagination

  • Apache IoTDB enum support

  • service discovery improvements

  • database driver and dependency updates

  • Time Series support in JNoSQL Lite

What's next?

With Time Series support now available, the next development cycle will focus more heavily on Vector Database support.

This is another step toward expanding Eclipse JNoSQL as a polyglot persistence solution for Enterprise Java and Jakarta EE, providing a consistent programming model across different database technologies.

Thank you to everyone who contributed, reviewed, tested, reported issues, and helped make this release possible.

Enjoy Eclipse JNoSQL 1.1.18!
