[jnosql-dev] Eclipse JNoSQL 1.1.16 is now available 🚀

Hi everyone,

We are happy to announce the release of Eclipse JNoSQL 1.1.16! 🚀

This release brings a new database integration, several important improvements to Oracle NoSQL support, repository and query fixes, dependency updates, and security maintenance across the Eclipse JNoSQL ecosystem.

🚀 What's new?

One of the highlights of this release is Valkey support, expanding the set of databases available through Eclipse JNoSQL.

The release also includes significant improvements to the Oracle NoSQL integration, including:

  • Better handling of null predicates and query values
  • Support for Character values
  • Support for IGNORE_CASE conditions
  • Correct typed ID routing
  • Preservation of returned IDs and delete counts
  • Projection results converted from SDK-specific FieldValue wrappers into standard Java values

At the Eclipse JNoSQL core level, 1.1.16 improves query and repository behavior with:

  • Reporting the number of affected rows for delete queries
  • Repository entity inference for FROM-less projection queries
  • Correct handling of empty results for concrete repository return types

We also updated several database drivers and dependencies, including integrations for MongoDB, DynamoDB, Couchbase, OrientDB, Elasticsearch, and others, while backporting an important Solr security fix to the 1.1.x branch.

The JNoSQL Extensions project has also been updated to 1.1.16, keeping the Eclipse JNoSQL ecosystem aligned on the same release version.

A big thank you to Robert Patrick (@robertpatrick) for the contributions and fixes included in this release, and to everyone using, testing, reporting issues, and contributing to Eclipse JNoSQL.

As always, feedback and contributions are very welcome!

Enjoy Eclipse JNoSQL 1.1.16! ☕🚀
