Hi,
In a ServletFilter when we call request.getParameter("name") it throws NumberFormatException due to a field in the form containing a '%'. The character encoding is already set to UTF-8 so what else could be done to better handle this in the ServletFilter? Further encoding would not help. I can not do parsing of the result from request.getParameter() because the error is in this call.
The exception is:
java.lang.NumberFormatException: !hex 34
