first, you need pde junit plugin
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/%7Echeckout%7E/jdt-ui-home/plugins/org.
eclipse.jdt.junit/index.html
installed in your development workspace

you'll be able to run tests as JUnt Plugin tests then
i guess most of the tests in jdt ui can serve as examples here
