Re: [jdt-dev] Eclipse JD

Hi Pietro

Eclipse (JDT) implements its own compiler to provide incremental builds. We don't use the command line (javac).

Hello everybody,

I am not sure I am writing in the right place, hopefully yes.

I am new to Eclipse and Java development as I am used to C/C++ using
Makefile and I am struggling to understand the 'Java Builder' which
comes with Eclipse, I am not having any intention of running things from
the command line but for the sake of my knowledge I'd love to know more
about it. How are incremental builds achieved ?

Are there good links/docs about it?

Thanks a lot.
Pietro.
