Re: [jaxrs-dev] Introduction

Hello Ken,

great to have your support! :-)

There are two ways to contribute: Knowledge and coding manpower.

Knowledge: There are discussions going on here in the mailing list and in the issue tracker on Github (https://github.com/eclipse-ee4j/jaxrs-api). I'd like to invite you to participate to these discussions by simply commenting on them. For example, the issue discussiong multipart/form-data and how to design a *good* JAX-RS API around that (#542, #418). Maybe you have ideas about REST or JAX-RS not already covered by an issues? Then just file one and share your ideas with us!

Manpower: There are lots of open issues in that tracker, like bugs or missing features. If you want, you can send a pull request providing a solution.

Subject: [jaxrs-dev] Introduction

Hi,

My name is Ken Fogel and I teach in a Computer Science Technology program at Dawson College and in an adult training program at Concordia University. Both programs I teach in use Java as the primary language. Starting next week I will be teaching a web services course at Concordia so the invitation to join this mailing list is auspicious. I have also spoken at JavaOne and for the last two years have organized a NetBeans Day here in Montreal. You can see this past January’s lineup at https://www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/netbeansday/.

Please let me know how I may contribute to the continuing success of jax-rs.

Ken Fogel
