The new pull request for adding the unit metadata is the following: https://github.com/eclipse/january/pull/245.

As it is it won't build as the unit-api is still not in Orbit.

Hi all, Pete,
yes, indeed, my bad. I said that those two other jars were needed as they
are in dawnsci where UnitMetadata is currently. UnitMetadata itself doesn't
need anything but the unit-api.

I'm doing a pull request for the maven dependency today.
