Re: [january-dev] [eavp-dev] Help with an EVAP Question

Hi Robert,

It is not in January because the CQ moving all the code across was being held up because of this issue. I now expect the CQ to be approved, with the caveat of that file being removed.

It's now been taken care of in both master and next for EAVP. I didn't see the package in January's master branch, so it should be able to pull in the corrected packages from EAVP now.

Hello,

The file was being used by a test, but I've replaced it with a custom file and updated the test accordingly in our 'next' branch.

Jay, since this is a copyright issue, should I go ahead and merge into master to get it out of there too?

Regards,

Robert

Sharon,

I think that file was erroneously committed. It was a cool example that Kasper found on the internet, but I don't know if it has any functional value (i.e. - as part of a test). I suggest that we verify that and remove it if so instead of putting in a CQ.

I have CC'ed the January and EAVP dev teams. Robert Smith will raise a bug on this and get back to you soon.

Thanks!
Jay

Hey Jay:

In looking through the update of content for the January project (CQ 11982), I wandered across the file airboat.obj.  I asked Jonah if he could help point in the direction of the original file.  Jonah indicated the origin of the file being [2].  The file contains copyright to Viewpoint Datalabs International, Inc.  Copyright 1996.  As a result, I’m trying to determine if the file is third party.  If third party, I’d like to map it to an existing CQ and if no CQ, we should at the very least check the license of the original content.

As the file appears to have been contributed by Kasper Gammeltoft, I thought you be able to help with the origin of the file.

Cheers,
Sharon
