Jakarta Ambassadors proposed following features for Messaging EE 12:

Provide CDI-friendly equivalents for MDB: https://github.com/jakartaee/messaging/issues/243#issuecomment-2569877617
Provide a Java SE/standalone bootstrap API: https://github.com/jakartaee/messaging/labels/Java%20SE%20integration
Introducing Messaging Lite geared towards cloud native use cases: https://github.com/jakartaee/messaging/labels/Lite%20Profile
Include AMQP interoperability:https://github.com/jakartaee/messaging/issues/9

IMO, these should be discussed for inclusion in EE 12.
