Hello Scott, Emily, Arjan, and Ivar,
I spoke too soon when I announced my presence at the TCK call tomorrow. It turns out have a schedule conflict.
I hope Arjan can attend to represent the release coordinator role.
From the perspective of the release coordinator role, here is my analysis of the most important aspects:
1. Can we commit to a date for a date when the refactored TCK will be ready to certify a Ratifying Compatible Implementation of EE 11?
2. Confirm that enumerating the "must have" vs. "nice to have" vehicles is an important step in estimating the date for item 1.
2.a How would one derive the set of vehicles.
3. See if it is even possible to kick the can down the road once again and use the non-refactored TCK to certify a Ratifying Compatible Implementation of EE 11. We must explore this option in the spirit of due diligence.
Just so that we can compare the two paths (e.g. kick the can down
the road or not), if we were to use the non-refactored TCK for EE
11, would that include restarting the component level spec ballots
as well? I'd like to also hear of any reasons why we would have
to restart the component level ballots as well.
