The proposed changes still fall into the scope of a service release as far as I can see. Let's bring it up on the next platform call.

Hi,
I am writing to raise awareness of an outstanding pull request that was raised last year:
The possibility that the change might need an accompanying specification change (to make CDI optional in the specification itself) is there. That might imply needing something other than a service release for EE10, so I would appreciate feedback from others on how to approach the change.
