I can pull it out into a separate platform issue if that is the recommended approach. I think it has value as a foundational api on which other capabilities could be built. It is small, useful and
doesn’t bring along any other baggage. I will expand on the advantages in the issue.

This question may be getting lost in the review of theJakarta
EE 10 Release Plan:
Should Concurrency 3.0 be added to the Web Profile in Jakarta EE 10?
Steve Millidge first brought up this idea in the
Web Profile 10 Issue(with
Ivar concurring). But, I haven't seen any additional conversation on this request. Any pros or cons to this addition? Unless I hear overwhelming support for this addition, I'm leaning towards leaving Concurrency with the Platform.
