Re: [jakartaee-platform-dev] [glassfish-dev] GlassFish 6.0.0 Final

I cannot move forward without ejb-api 4.0.0 final being in central. That is the main blocker for sending metro 3.0.0 final to central and resurrecting work on finalizing eclipselink 3.0.0.

Hi All,

We had an aim to get GlassFish 6.0.0 final out before Jakarta One live stream. The GlassFish project team are still waiting for the release of final components. I have updated this spreadsheet Implementation Component Tracking - Google Sheets <*gid=0__;Iw!!GqivPVa7Brio!KcbvdSjyGRluady4vYuN4eelidyq-AsYvxrvme_oCzkTt3_XSfTHTfl14b4B1Q48yg4$> but to summarise we need the following released to maven central in final form to create a GlassFish 6.0.0 final;

Spec Implementations

Not under control of GlassFish team members

Jakarta WebSockets - Tyrus

Jakarta Messaging – OpenMQ

Jakarta Persistence – EclipseLink

Jakarta CDI – Weld

Jakarta XML Web Services – Metro

Jakarta Bean Validation – Hibernate Validator

Jakarta Batch – IBM JBatch

Internal Components

Somewhat under control of the GlassFish project team members

GlassFish ORB

JSF Templating

Does anybody have input on whether we can get final versions of these projects sometime this week?

Fallback position will be to release an RC3 with an update on Livestream on what we are still waiting to go final.
