Re: [jakartaee-platform-dev] Jakarta EE Platform Call January 21, 2020 at 11:00 EST

Hi Arjan,
Normally, this Platform call has been focused on the Jakarta EE 9 plan, content, and status.  But, since Glassfish is the Compatible Implementation for many of the Specification Projects, starting the conversation here is fine.  I'll add it to the agenda.  Thanks.

Hi,

I'm not 100% sure this is the right place, but would the failure to build GlassFish and test it be an agenda topic for the platform call?

After GlassFish moved to something called "JIRO" it no longer passed the tests. A minor problem is .m2 repos keep pointing to the wrong ones, but a bigger and yet unsolved issue is that GlassFish no longer stops and/or detects it's stopping:

This one, and variants thereof plague the tests:

restart.server:
09:39:26       [echo] Restarting server...
09:39:26       [exec] Picked up JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS: -Xmx2G
09:40:34       [exec] Waiting for the domain to stop ...........................................................
09:40:34       [exec] Command stop-domain failed.
09:40:34       [exec] Timed out (60 seconds) waiting for the domain to stop.
09:40:34

I looked at this for a couple of days now, and not making much progress. See also:
