Dear Jakarta EE Working Group members,
Open Community Experience (OCX) will take place from 21–23 April 2026 in Brussels, bringing together developers, maintainers, researchers, and industry leaders across the open source ecosystem.
The main OCX track includes a dedicated focus on Java and enterprise technologies, exploring Jakarta EE, MicroProfile, modern language features, cloud-native Java patterns, containers, observability, and cross-organisation collaboration models.
Featured sessions include:
The past, present, and future of Enterprise Java - with Jakarta EE in the Middle by Ivar Grimstad (Eclipse Foundation)
From JDO to Jakarta Query: The evolution of persistence in Enterprise Java by Otavio Santana (OS expert)
See the full list of talks here.
OCX places enterprise Java in direct conversation with open source governance, security, compliance, AI, automotive, and research, reflecting the broader systems context in which Jakarta EE operates today.
