This message serves as a preliminary notification regarding the upcoming Jakarta EE Working Group elections. Its purpose is to encourage eligible individuals to consider standing for election and casting their votes. No immediate action is required.
The Jakarta EE Working Group Charter stipulates annual elections for its Steering, Specification, and Marketing committees. Elected positions are designated for Enterprise and Committer Members, while Strategic Members appoint their representatives.
The Eclipse Foundation intends to conduct the 2025-26 Jakarta EE elections on behalf of the working group, commencing in early September. Detailed instructions and precise timelines will be released via email during the first part of September.
Membership Nomination Eligibility:
For membership classes other than Committer Members, all individuals who are employed by an organization that is a member of that class in the working group may stand for election.
Committer Members are those who are engaged in projects under the purview of the working group are eligible to stand for election. Committers may be considered members by virtue of either a) being employed by a working group corporate member, or b) an individual committer who has executed the Jakarta EE Working Group’s Participation Agreement.
