Committee election for this seat.
Sonja is a relatively new face in the Java Community but has
chalked up some significant community visibility as the
organizer of Microsoft's Java
JDConf 2025. Sonja has also supported the Java community
by supporting Microsoft's sponsoring and execution of JavaLand.

Jakarta EE Steering and Marketing Committees, led by
Strategic members but with representation from Enterprise
and Participant members, have an Enterprise elected seat
vacant. An election is requested to fill this seat until
the October 2025 annual working group election.

20 - 27: Ballots Created/Sent (Voting Period)

Nominations
must be sent to this mailing list indicating related
Committee/Seat.
When the nomination period is closed, we will inform the
working group of the confirmed candidates providing a short
bio for each along with their position statement. At that
point, we will distribute ballots via email to those
eligible to vote. The election process will follow the
Eclipse “Single Transferable Vote” method, as defined in the Eclipse Bylaws.
The winning candidates will be announced on this mailing
list following the close of the election.
All members are encouraged to consider nominating and
self-nominations are also more than welcome!”
