Subject: [EXTERNAL] [jakarta.ee-wg] Jakarta EE Working Group Enterprise Representative Interim Election - Call for Nominations

The Jakarta EE Steering and Marketing Committees, led by Strategic members but with representation from Enterprise and Participant members, have an Enterprise elected seat vacant.  An election is requested to fill this seat until the October 2025 annual working group election.


Please note the following important information: Nomination Eligibility Enterprise Members Employees of Jakarta EE Working Group Enterprise members are eligible for election to the Steering or Marketing Committees (or both). View current members here. Only one candidate per Enterprise member organization is allowed. Primeton, holding existing elected seats, will not participate in this interim election.

Election Schedule

June 9 -16: Call for Nominations

June 18:  Announce Candidates Standing

June 20 - 27:  Ballots Created/Sent (Voting Period)

June 30:  Announce Elected Candidates


Nominations must be sent to this mailing list indicating related Committee/Seat.  When the nomination period is closed, we will inform the working group of the confirmed candidates providing a short bio for each along with their position statement.  At that point, we will distribute ballots via email to those eligible to vote.  The election process will follow the Eclipse “Single Transferable Vote” method, as defined in the Eclipse Bylaws.  The winning candidates will be announced on this mailing list following the close of the election.   All members are encouraged to consider nominating and self-nominations are also more than welcome!”


As we open nominations, we encourage all nominees to include a short bio highlighting their relevant experience and contributions. If you are nominating yourself, please provide this along with your submission. If you are accepting a nomination made by someone else, kindly share a brief bio to help the selection process.
