Hello –

 

I would like to nominate Arjan Tijms as committer representative to the Jakarta EE Steering Committee.

 

Arjan is eminently qualified, having fulfilled this role for several years, having extensive knowledge of the technologies and background, and being one of the leading contributors to Jakarta EE.

All,

 

We are extending the nomination period for accepting nominations for elected committee representatives until Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 21:00 EDT.  

 

As a reminder, individuals from Participant Members as well as all Committer Members are eligible to be nominated, and self nominations are welcome.  Nominations may be sent to either this mailing list, or sent directly to membership.coordination@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

 

The specific positions available are: 

 

Steering Committee

One seat allocated for Participant Members

One seat allocated for Committer Members

 

Specification Committee

One seat allocated for Participant Members

One seat allocated for Committer Members

 

Marketing and Brand Committee

One seat allocated for Participant Members

One seat allocated for Committer Members

 

The list of Participant Members can be found on the Jakarta EE Explore our Members page. 

 

Also as a reminder, the time commitment involved is to participate on the respective committee’s biweekly calls and to participate in discussions on the respective committee’s mailing list.  

 

While having a representative for these classes of members is not a requirement, your service in this regard to better represent all our members is valuable and appreciated.
