We will hold elections for the Jakarta EE committee representatives starting late this week. This email is to let you know about who is standing election, and what is the process.
What are the Positions?
The Jakarta EE working group has 3 standing committees that have representation of the Participant and Committer members: Steering Committee, Marketing and Brand Committee, and the Specification Committee.
So in total, there will be 6 people elected to positions - 3 Participant member representatives, and 3 Committer representatives.
(As a reminder, Strategic members appoint a representative to each of these committees, so there is no election for their committee members).
Who are the Candidates?
The candidates are listed below. Also, the attached 2 documents show photos and bios of each of the candidates. I encourage you to read about these candidates. And thank you to each of the nine candidates for agreeing to stand election.

Who Receives Ballots?
You will receive a ballot if:
a) you are the company representative for a Participant member company. As a reminder, the current Participant members are listed
here.
b) you are a Jakarta EE Committer member. As a reminder, Jakarta EE Committer members are committers on an EE4J project that either: i) work for a member company, or ii) are independent Committer members of the Eclipse Foundation by virtue of executing a Membership Agreement.
When is the Election?
Ballots will be distributed later this week, and will remain open through June 29.
