[jakarta.ee-spec] Request to Strengthen Documentation for Jakarta EE 12

Hello everyone,

I’d like to request enhancements to the Jakarta EE 12 documentation, with two related goals in mind.

First, clearer, more explicit documentation would greatly help the marketing team promote what is new in Jakarta EE 12 and support the creation of a dedicated Jakarta EE 12 page. For many developers, documentation is the primary way to understand what changed and why it matters in a release.

Today, some specifications are not entirely clear in their intent or practical use. One example is:

https://jakarta.ee/specifications/cdi/5.0/

The specification introduces a way to eagerly initialize CDI beans, which is an important capability. From a documentation perspective, this would benefit from a clear explanation and a concrete code sample, aligned with real-world CDI usage.

As a point of reference, the Jakarta Data and Jakarta NoSQL specifications take a more explicit and developer-oriented approach, providing clearer explanations of new features and practical guidance for adoption:

https://jakarta.ee/specifications/data/1.1/
https://jakarta.ee/specifications/nosql/1.1/

These specifications could serve as reference models for how we present changes and new capabilities in the Jakarta EE 12 documentation, aiming for consistency across the platform rather than prescribing a single format.

Second, as a suggestion, it would be great if Jared could include documentation as a topic in the next meeting, so we can align on expectations, scope, and next steps as a group.

I believe this will significantly improve both external communication and developer adoption of Jakarta EE 12. I’m happy to help or contribute where needed.

Thanks in advance.
