Creating an issue
for a future rev sounds like the proper path for this item. Thanks!
Can you also create
an issue to update the TCK Release Notes in a future rev? Thanks
again.

Hi,
I took a look at the tld doc issue
and I don't see anyplace in the implementation that javax is actually referenced.
So I agree with Arjan it looks to be strictly a doc issue with the tlddoc
generator:
<dependency>
<groupId>taglibrarydoc</groupId>
<artifactId>tlddoc</artifactId>
<version>1.3</version>
</dependency>
We're using the latest version, if I
download the sources: https://repo1.maven.org/maven2/taglibrarydoc/tlddoc/1.3/
I see that tag.html.xsl contains the
following:
<xsl:when
test="javaee:deferred-value">
<xsl:choose>
<xsl:when
test="javaee:deferred-value/javaee:type">
<code>javax.el.ValueExpression</code>
<br/>(<i>must evaluate to </i><code><xsl:value-of
select="javaee:deferred-value/javaee:type"/></code>)
</xsl:when>
<xsl:otherwise>
<code>javax.el.ValueExpression</code>
<br/>(<i>must evaluate to </i><code>java.lang.Object</code>)
</xsl:otherwise>
</xsl:choose>
</xsl:when>
We will need to either find a new way
to generate these docs or figure out how to get this plugin updated and
then update Jakarta Tags to use the latest version. I can open an issue
for the next release to target fixing this doc issue if that is acceptable?
Thanks,

Ok you only mean the TCK release notes,
as Kevin said, it’s probably best to do this in an update release instead
of doing it all over again.
In fact, our checklist may have to be
phrased differently, because it points out a TCK User's Guide (or equivalent
documentation) but says nothing about other documents like the release
notes or those Assertion Folders which look like they also contain TCK
results.
I think that Paragraph should be a Little
more generic and refer to TCK documents or similar and especially if those
assertions are a mandatory part of each TCK Archive, they should explicitly
be mentioned in the checklist.

Good comments, Jean-Louis.
My two cents worth...- Wondering if the use
of javax.el.ValueExpression is just a docs issue or if it's an actual type
issue on the attribute? Arjan or Paul?
- I agree that the TCK
Release Notes is not in good shape. But, this could be corrected
in a TCK update release (2.0.x).

On the specification PR itself ...
There is a javax.el.ValueExpression in
ForEach tagdocs.
On the TCK zip ...
The TCK release notes are still referencing version 1.2 instead of 2.0.
I think it should maybe also use Glassfish 6.0 instead of 5.1
The date is september 2019
Index also refers to 1.2 instead of 2.0
I'll check with David what we want to do as Tomitribe.
Please don't update the PR quick yet

Greetings
Jakarta EE Specification Committee.
I
need your vote to approve and ratify the release of Jakarta Tags 2.0 as
part of the Jakarta EE Platform 9 release.
The
JESP/EFSP requires a successful ballot of the Specification Committee in

The

https://deploy-preview-277--jakartaee-specifications.netlify.app/specifications/tags/2.0/Per
the process, this will be a fourteen day ballot, ending on November
4th, 2020 that requires a Super-majority positive vote of the Specification
Committee members (note that there is no veto). Community input is welcome,
but only votes cast by Specification Committee Representatives will be
counted.
The
Specification Committee is composed of representatives of the Jakarta EE
