Re: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Appoint Jon Gallimore as Tomitribe committer rep for JSTL Project
|
Thanks, Wayne! I've
already pinged Cesar on this topic (in David's absence). Hopefully,
either Jean-Louis or Cesar will reply shortly with the +1. (Not sure
if Cesar is on the Spec mailing list, so I'll copy him on this reply.)

rep for JSTL ProjectSent

The short answer is no. The participant
member must appoint their own representative committers. I interpret this to mean that any designated
specification or steering committee representative (or their alternate)
can send an email to emo@xxxxxxxxxxxto make the request.Having said that, I'll accept a +1 on
this thread (in lieu of a separate email) from one Tomitribe's alternates,
Jean-Louis (specification committee alternate) or Cesar (steering committee
alternate).WayneOn Mon, Mar 2, 2020 at 10:29 AM Kevin

Can we get Jon Gallimore (jgallimore@xxxxxxxxxxxxx)
assigned as Tomitribe's Committer rep on the JSTL Project? Immediately,
please!
The JSTL project has very little participation at the moment. Jon
was willing to review my
PR for this projectand
offered some good insights and experimentation. Since each Strategic
Member is allowed to appoint a committer on each Spec Project, and Tomitribe
currently does not have participation on this JSTL Spec Project, I'd like
to offer Jon up as the Tomitribe appointee.
Jonathan is already a committer on several Jakarta spec projects -- Concurrency,
Connectors, Interceptors, Transactions, and the TCK.
I know this is a little out of process, but I know that David is out-of-band
on vacation. I also know that JSTL needs more work for Jakarta EE
9. And, Jon seems like a willing participant. Later, Tomitribe
may decide an alternate developer may be more appropriate and we can adjust
accordingly. But, getting Jon into this role might help kickstart
this project. Thanks!
