Re: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] [jakarta.ee-steering] Tools Supporting Jakarta EE - EclipseChe

But, I think Werner's
question is still valid... What is the relationship between Eclipse
IDE and WDT as compared to Che and, possibly, CodeWind? Especially
as we talk about tooling support for Jakarta EE and MicroProfile. Is
one approach more strategic than the other? Will we be developing
and supporting both sets of tools?

@Werner - as David indicated this was
the conversation at KubeCon San Diego conference in November. I am sure
other tools might be interested as well!Regarding Eclipse Che, the recommendation
I got is to invite the Jakarta EE community to create an Eclipse
Che GitHub issue for this.
That way the communication is initiated and the request can get prioritized.

Subject: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Tools Supporting Jakarta
EE - EclipseChe
Hello All,as mentioned on
today's Steering Committee call, I had a conversation with some of the
Eclipse Che community members who were very positive and interested in
terms of providing Jakarta EE as well as support for Eclipse MicroProfile. As Drive
tooling support for Jakarta EE is one of the strategic goals
in our 2020 Program Plan, I wanted to make sure that both Steering and
Specification Committees are aware and can consider next steps in engaging
with the Eclipse Che community.Thanks,Tanja--
