[jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Please read: Jakarta EE Update call - August 27th

Hi All,

Considering everyone is extremely busy with work on Jakarta EE 8 release, I am thinking we can do a short update call on Tuesday, and have Ed, me and maybe someone from Marketing present the following topics. The reason to do it is the continuation, not cancel last minute (we already moved the call) and avoid any speculation about the reasons for canceling. If you agree, I will send a heads up to set the expectations for a short call.

  • Jakarta EE 8 release

    • Status on progress and plans ( Ed Bratt )

  • Marketing update (If no presenters from the community Shabnam Mayel can cover this one - please email me today if you can cover this one)

  • JakartaOne Livestream - (Tanja Obradovic)

  • EclipseCon Europe - (Tanja Obradovic)

    • Community events registration and participation

  • Open discussion and questions

Please respond if any objections today, as soon as you can, so I can send reminder email to the broader community about the call close to the end of the day.
