Re: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] The Specifications "Wave" spreadsheet

Ed,

Row 44 is not visible in the sheet since it has a blank in column E (Required for Jakarta EE 8) so is filtered out. The sheet is set to filter out rows with blank or no in E. Changing the filter on E to include blank makes 44 row visible.

Row 45 was somehow resized to be a few pixels in height. I resized it and it is now and it now visible again.

Thanks ... Paul

With your permission, I have updated the sheet. If I haven't confirmed with the parties, I left the old name in parenthesis.

I do not know how to "unhide" the Faces lines (Rows 44 and 45). If someone could do that (I'm sure it's simple, but I can't get the right rollover action to occur), it would be useful -- unless there's some reason not to see that Spec.

Bill, Yes, I was looking at Column B. Seems Column U contains similar data. I'll be honest, I don't know what distinguishes these two columns. If someone wants to transfer or reconcile these data to another spreadsheet, I wont complain. After updating Column B, the two columns are much closer to each other. I think the only distinctions are people within the same organization.

Regardless, it should be closer to actual responsible parties, in both columns B and U now.

PS my recollection is, Paul wanted a sheet with fewer columns so he could see all the data. Now, we are adding more columns to his data-reduced sheet.  There is certainly no shortage of things that need to be kept track of, with this project.

On the "Specification Project PR assignments and plan" Google Sheet, (I called it the Wave sheet in the subject) -- a couple of questions:

  • Annotations Spec. --  PRs were submitted by Dmitry. Raymond Auge is listed on the sheet.
  • Managed Beans PR was submitted by Kevin. The sheet lists Ivar.
  • XML Registries -- There are no PRs for this yet. I don't think Dmitry claims responsibility for Jakarta Registries. Most of the recent commits and questions are coming from Kevin and Jim Krueger. Do we have a responsible party?
  • Jakarta Deployment was submitted by Dmitry. The Sheet lists Kevin.
  • Jakarta Servlet PRs are submitted by Arjan. The Sheet lists Greg Wilkins.
  • Jakarta XML RPC PRs were submitted by Dmitry. The sheet lists Ivar
  • Jakarta Faces appears to be hidden. Is this intentional? I think Arjan is working on that and there are PRs against the /specifications repository.
  • CDI -- Scott submitted PRs. I added PR numbers / link s for CDI. There is no individual listed on the sheet.
  • Jakarta Management -- Kevin submitted the PRs. The sheet lists David.
  • Jakarta Platform Full Profile -- Kevin submitted the PRs. The sheet lists David
  • Jakarta Platform Web Profile -- Kevin submitted the PRs. The sheet lists Dmitry.

I suspect these were all due to the way the old sheet predated actual responsibility associations with the leads (and maybe a few changes since then).

I wasn't sure if I should just make these changes, without asking first.
