Re: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Updating APIs

You may not remove the Oracle copyright line.

You may add additional copyright lines for additional copyright holders.

Ideally you should be using the GlassFish copyright plugin to verify that the copyright/license headers are correct.

Personally I don't see the value of @version.  If it means you have to touch every file for every release, that just seems unnecessary.

There's an ongoing discussion about @since, but what you have below seems fine for now.

Hi,

I've been updating the JMS APIs and wanted to make sure I'm doing as exected and agreed to.

1. Replace all instances of "JMS " with "Jakarta Messaging " except where JMS is used in a package or type name.

2. I've been replacing "@version JMS x.x" . with "@version Jakarta Messaging x.x" but leaving the "@since" as it was (e.g. "@since JMS 2.0")

3.  I've been replacing the Oracle license at the top of every file with the Eclipse license as follows:

/**
 *  Copyright (c) 2019 Contributors to the Eclipse Foundation.
 *  This program and the accompanying materials are made available under the
 *  terms of the Eclipse Public License v. 2.0, which is available at
 *  http://www.eclipse.org/legal/epl-2.0.
 *  This Source Code may also be made available under the following Secondary
 *  Licenses when the conditions for such availability set forth in the
 *  Eclipse Public License v. 2.0 are satisfied: GNU General Public License,
 *  version 2 with the GNU Classpath Exception, which is available at
 *  https://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/license.html.
 *  SPDX-License-Identifier: EPL-2.0 OR GPL-2.0 WITH Classpath-exception-2.0
*/

Thanks,

Richard
