Re: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Jakarta <strike>Server</strike> Faces
|
At this point, I
would prefer we keep all of the names the same... We've been making
so many doc changes that refer to Jakarta Server Faces (and also Jakarta
Server Pages). If we open the door for this one minor change, we
may get all kinds of requests. And, we don't need that kind of churn at
this point. That's my two cents worth...

Arjan has asked that we change the name
of the newly created “Jakarta Server Faces” project to “Jakarta
Faces”. Under normal circumstances for a regular
Eclipse project that we’ve just created, assuming that there are no trademark
implications (which is true in this case), we’d just let them change the
name. Does the Specification Committee believe
that any ceremony (other than informing the community), e.g. an official
ballot, is required to make this change? This is not an official ballot, so I
will assert that lazy consensus applies. Do let me know if you feel otherwise.Wayne
