Greetings Jakarta EE Specification Committee

Please review the Jakarta Batch project proposal

Note that my assertion on this past specification committee call that I'd "dropped the ball" was, incorrect. This project is still in the proposal phase with a creation review scheduled to conclude on June 5/2019; this gives you plenty of time to vote.

Per the Eclipse Foundation Specification Process, I require a super-majority vote of the members of the Jakarta EE Specification Committee to successfully complete a Creation Review and then start the process of standing up the project.

The specification scope is specified as "Jakarta Batch describes a means for developing, executing and managing batch processes in Jakarta EE applications."

I hereby request that the Specification Committee vote to approve the creation of this first Specification Project.

Please respond to this note with:
+1 to approve;
-1 to reject; or
0 to abstain.

If you do choose to reject or abstain, I would appreciate a short (one or two sentence) explanation.

I will assemble the results and publish them on the record that we're using to track this process.

I would like to resolve this on May 29/2019. Your vote in advance of that date will be appreciated.

Thank you.
