Let me make sure. Will Jakarta Summit be held only 2019?

Hi Kenji.
The following Eclipse-organized events are the ones currently planned with the Foundation for which we will be seeking sponsorship. This is, of course, subject to change based on new opportunities arising.
October 2019.
EclipseCon Europe
June 2020.
EclipseCon France.
October 2020.
EclipseCon Europe.
We will have the sponsor prospectus available shortly for EclipseCon Europe, and our team will be reaching out once we do.
Could you list all events which we will be asked to be sponsored for in this year and next year.
I know all are not determined yet, but we need this kind of information in order to make a budget plan.
We are proposing to hold a “Jakarta Summit 2019” in June 2019. Jakarta Summit is a 2 day event targeted specifically to developers with a stake in the evolution
of Jakarta EE technologies. The details of the proposal are below.
As an explicit action item, we are asking a commitment from Strategic members to the Jakarta Summit by no later than February 1. We know this is a short timeframe,
but we need this commitment so we can begin promoting with other members of the working group and other interested stakeholders, and to finalize logistics with a venue. A summary of the proposed sponsor packages is also below.
To add context, the Jakarta Summit is part of our overall proposed strategy for the Jakarta EE Working Group to grow its outreach and event strategy. This strategy
includes hosting a JakartaOne Live virtual conference later in 2019, and a JakartaOne conference in 2020. These conferences are complemented by the Jakarta Tech Talks, which start in January 2019, and other outreach events such as a roadshow or other events
going forward.
Note that these are all events hosted by Eclipse Foundation on behalf of the Jakarta EE Working Group, and are separate from the efforts being driven to participate
in other major conferences. The intent is to create a significant conference presence for Jakarta EE in support of our goal of creating a world class brand.
@Will, I can provide additional details during the Steering Committee call today.
Jakarta Summit 2019
The mission of the Jakarta Summit is to bring together developers and architects with a stake in the evolution of Jakarta EE technologies. The event will provide
an environment for a diverse community of committers, contributors, and enterprise adopters to share information on current and proposed Jakarta EE specifications, implementations, and use cases, including MicroProfile. Like other Jakarta EE Working Groups
events and initiatives, Jakarta Summit will inspire innovation leadership in enterprise Java through interaction and education, and foster community building.
