Re: [jakarta.ee-spec.committee] Feedback on JNoSQL proposal

This actually did come up during one of our Spec Committee meetings...  The issue was that there will not be as many opportunities for the Working Group to get familiar with the various Specifications.  There will be the Creation Review and at least one Milestone Review before a potential Final Review.  So, if a Working Group member is not participating in a Specification, it might make it more difficult to determine a proper voting stance.  With the JCP process, there were several interim reviews (some informal, some voting) that gave several opportunities to get onboard and understand the JSR.  Our new Eclipse process is a little leaner.  Granted, you can take the stand that if you snooze, you lose.  That's fine.  I just wanted to see if we needed more explicit indication whether Working Group members are interested in a Specification Project at Creation Review time.

(In a separate thread, Mike has indicated this was only a suggestion...)

Agreed. That's never been the case in the JCP and it's never been the
case in any standards body I know, e.g., consider if OASIS required
every member to get involved in every specification there.
