Given some recent developments, Microsoft would like to re-target
this discussion to the Jakarta EE community. Ed Burns can lead the
discussion to a limited extent. Time is actually fast running out
now to remain relevant. Otherwise it'll become a similar situation
to LangChain4j and Spring AI.
It could be something standalone for some time and maybe we could
even think about some kind of marker for more experimental
specifications. Jakarta EE has needed it for a while. I think
Jakarta NoSQL is/was a good test case for something like this.

on this currently, but I think MicroProfile should begin
exploring an Agentic AI API sooner rather than later. Unlike
LangChain4j, no one in the Java ecosystem is doing serious
work on this yet, so this could be an area that MicroProfile
could really shine. The area is also well suited for
MicroProfile runtimes.
Innovation and exploration is the unique value
proposition for MicroProfile instead of spending too many
cycles on relatively mature areas.
