Hello IoT-Testware enthusiast,

 

Good news for the Eclipse IoT-Testware project. In the last month we achieved some milestones we had on our todo list. Next to the general improvements and expansions within the test cases and protocols, here are some big improvements:

 

First of all, from today on we improved the installation process for the IoT-Testware and its dependencies as we merged all the different shell-installation-scripts into one single python script [1]. The only thing to consider: it is a preinstalled Eclipse Titan required. It is now possible to spread the script around the world (okay, lets may start doing this in meetings or for interested parties at conferences).

In addition we changed the installation description to better guide people who’d like use the IoT-Testware [2].

 

Next to it we started to build some kind of web interface to make it much easier working with the IoT-Testware. We are still in the pre-0.1 draft version but I attached some screenshots how it could look like. You won’t find the code for that in our github because of this early stage. But stay tuned, It won’t take long to the first push.

 

Last but not least we pushed our first OPC-UA test code [3]. It should be seen as proof of concept for the newly released OPC-UA ProtocolModule by Eclipse Titan [4]. It handles some simple request-response mechanisms. In the next month we are going forward to extent the test suite.

 

As always, you are more than welcome to contribute in any way (quality checks, test case specification/implementation).
