[iottestware-dev] Minutes IoT-Testware developer meeting 07.11.17

Hey IoT-Testware enthusiasts =D ,

Thank you again for your numerous participation!

Herewith I send you the notes I made during our IoT-Testware developer meeting.

1.      Welcome round, everybody introduced oneself

2.      We were talking about tools support for communication/task organization. Outcomes:

a.      Gotomeeting is accepted for (regular) calls and will be used

b.      Any progress/plans will be published at the Eclipse IoT-Testware forum to be transparent for the community

c.      Slack/Mattermost not much applicable

d.      Ticket system still missing -> will be discussed when concrete tasks are available

3.      IoT-Testware lacks of “usability” and clear structure:

a.      Naum suggests to refactor CoAP and MQTT test suite to make it easier to maintain

b.      Bogdan suggests an library approach for the test suite to unify common things in between the different test suites (medium-term approach)

c.      Alex worked on simplifying and unifying the import process for the tests suites (see his mail from 19th Oct 2017) -> asks for feedback

4.      We agreed on gathering feedback/activities/wishes from everyone to define concrete tasks (I will distribute a draft later)

5.

a.      We agreed on meeting once a month from the next year on (til there, as often as needed)

b.      The meetings should last 1h, longer if needed

c.      Next meeting at the 30th Nov afternoon (following the MTS TST meeting, separate invitation will be sent)

I created a list of AP.

AP all: send feedback/activities/wishes to the IoT-Testware til the next meeting (latest)

AP all: carefully read the minutes and give feedback (e.g. missing points)

AP Sascha: summarize meeting (done)

AP Sascha: distribute format for feedback/activities/wishes

AP Sascha: send invitation for next developer meeting

AP Alex: resend mail about IoT-Testware install workflow (in case someone was not on the mailing list at this point)

Thank you all and hope to see/hear you soon.

Best regards

Sascha
