Re: [iot-wg] Shaping our presence at The Things Conference 2026 – Join the team!

Hi Ignacio,

Thank you for the links and information. Here is my information:
  • From Siemens, Ege Korkan and Haoyu Ren will join in person.
  • We have confirmation of availability to contribute for an upgrade as Siemens. Please let us know if others will share the costs.
  • Regarding the type of upgrade, I am not sure about the benefits of silver as it gives just a half panel more? I am not sure if I understand everything correctly. I would be open to get bronze but get more high tables and screens.
  • We can provide booth support and that would be the minimum we want to do since we want to show something hands-on with Web of Things. For the speaking session or demo stage, we want to contribute but if we share the slot with another Eclipse project, they need to fit together.

Best regards,
Ege Korkan

Hi everyone,

I have some exciting updates regarding our presence at The Things Conference 2026.

First, I can confirm that we have secured a 35-minute slot on the Demo Stage. You can find the specific guidelines for this presentation format.

Additionally, we have the opportunity to upgrade our current booth. As there are very few unoccupied booths left, we should consider this a priority. The (special) upgrade options are:
  • Silver (M size): €3,000
  • Gold (L size): €7,000

You can review the full price list for booth add-ons and branding. If your organisation is participating and willing to contribute funding toward an upgrade, please reach out ASAP so we can secure the best remaining location.

Finally, we have been invited to participate in a speaker promotion campaign. This involves recording a 1-minute video preview of your session for social media. While not urgent, it is a great way to build momentum alongside the promotion we are planning at the Eclipse Foundation.

We have many opportunities to showcase our projects: an upgradable booth, four presentation formats, and the IoT Wall of Fame. My ask is this: While the deadline to join the team remains June 15th, I encourage those who are ready to participate to reach out now (even if we chatted about it). Please confirm:

1.  Who from your organisation will attend.
2.  Your preferred role (booth support, specific speaking sessions, IoT Wall of Fame, Speaker Promotion Campaign).
3.  Whether you believe we should upgrade the booth and how your organisation can contribute to the funding.

I am also attaching a briefing for the event. This will be a useful tool for a better overview of what TTC2026 will bring.

Any questions? I am here to help!

Have a great weekend,

Hi everyone,

Following up on our recent Steering Committee meeting and IoT Community Call, we have some exciting updates regarding our participation at The Things Conference 2026 in Amsterdam (September 22–23).

We’ve already seen great initial interest from several members and projects eager to represent the Eclipse IoT Working Group. Through our partnership with the organisers, we have locked down an excellent foundation, and we are looking for community hands to help us bring it to life.

Here is what is currently on the table, what we are pushing for next, and how you can get involved:

What is Confirmed So Far

What We are Working On

I am currently awaiting quotes regarding potential booth upgrades and additional speaking slots. Most notably, we are aiming to secure a 35-minute slot on the Demo Stage. This is set to be a major highlight of the event, designed exclusively for a live, working solution (either on-screen or via a physical device) to demonstrate real-world impact.

How to Participate & Next Steps

To pull this off seamlessly, we need to start organising our materials, booth roster, and presentation structures as early as possible. I want to encourage anyone willing to support the booth or join the speaking/demo sessions to get involved.

Check out the official The Things Conference website for more event details.

Please share all your questions or concerns so we ensure everything's clear before our kickoff meeting.
