Hi everyone.
I won't be able to host our community meeting this month. I'll be in Rotterdam to speak at the Eclipse Foundation's SDV Community Days. However, not all is lost! The event is hybrid, and you can catch my session remotely. Here are the title and abstract to whet your appetite.

Automotive Open Source: The Last Frontier
Since the 1980s, open source has gradually transformed the software landscape. Nowadays, specialists estimate that between 80 to 90 per cent of all software worldwide is open source. This includes proprietary applications and web-based platforms and services, which leverage open source building blocks behind the scenes.
For a while, safety-critical applications looked like they would be one of the last bastions of proprietary software. However, the availability of Eclipse ThreadX, the first and only open source real-time operating system certified for safety-critical applications, shows that this era will soon be over.
In this presentation, you will learn how the Eclipse Foundation, through the SDV Working Group, the OpenHW Foundation, and the ThreadX Alliance, is building a comprehensive open source RISC-V automotive ecosystem. You will also learn about an upcoming EU-funded research project that will greatly accelerate the migration of automotive platforms to open source designs.
Please join us if you can. I will see you all in the regular meeting in April.
Best Regards,
