Re: [iot-wg] Eclipse IoT Day Singapore opportunity - Sept 18-20

Thanks, David and Ian!

A bunch of people have also expressed interest off-list, so it looks like we may have enough interested indeed.
I will keep everyone posted in the next few days. In the meantime, I am still interested in hearing from people who would be interested in speaking at the event :-)

Thanks,
Benjamin -

Hi Benjamin,

I would be very interested in principle - a chance to reach another part of the globe, but travel and arrangements would have to be confirmed.

Hi,

For people who couldn’t attend the IoT WG call yesterday, I mentioned an opportunity we have to organize an event similar to the Eclipse IoT Day Santa Clara, in Singapore, the week of September 17. Just like Eclipse IoT Day Santa Clara was colocated with IoT World, this would be colocated with IoT World Asia and TechXLR8 Asia, which will be attracting 4000+ attendees.

The IoT Day Santa Clara was a really successful event so, while I realize September is virtually around the corner, I think it is worthwhile organizing an Eclipse IoT Day Singapore, … if we can get a critical mass of speakers :-) And this is where you can help!

Similar to previous editions of the Eclipse IoT Day, the kind of content we are looking for is pretty straightforward to describe: we want you to tell how you build and deploy open IoT solutions, and to show us how you are using Eclipse IoT technologies, open source software, and open standards in your solutions today. Usually, we like to get a good balance of technical talks focusing e.g on a key feature of an Eclipse IoT project, and business talks that cover actual use cases where Eclipse IoT technology has been deployed.

Is anyone on this list interested in speaking at the Eclipse IoT Day Singapore if we organize one? Please let me know ASAP, either by replying to this email on the list, or by contacting me directly.

Thanks,
Benjamin -
